Last week, Digital printing conference was held by Cannon business group from 7th Nov, 2018 to 9th Nov, 2018 in Chungmu-ro where is a place of meca for Korean printing industry. In this show, representative post-processing devices were introduced and exhibited along with Canon's brand new digital press equipment. DUOBLADE F of Valloy Inc. took an important place without doubt.
Traditionally the printing industry has been a conservative market. Although digital equipment has been actively supplied here so far, it still does not provide a dear vision of the profitability of digitalization. Therefore, this conference was intended to provide the right answers to how the current printing industry can be re-constructed to adopt the latest IT technology efficiently. According to Mr. JS Park the software development partner of Valloy Inc., gave a lecture in title of [4TH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION AND DIRECITON OF PRINTING INDUSTRY]. He said "4th industrial revolution is not irrelevant to our printing industry. And we need to re-construct our printing industry in the paradigm of this new technology. In other words, digital information used in printed paper should be utilized not only for automation of printing jobs, but also through various IT media and web platforms.
First of all, what customer asked such as size, quantity, media type, spot color, post-processing method and etc. should be saved in the job file at online ordering process? When proceeding actual printing or cuffing, the collected same information has to be used automatically for each digital machine. Such information must be accurately recorded as job tickets in the data so that it can be reused anytime and resourced as a part of big data without flattening the comprehensive data or vectorization of valuable text information.
